Some places become creative obsessions long before they become destinations.
The Greek islands have lived on my mood boards for years. Their weathered coastlines, sun-bleached villages, ancient pottery, and quiet palette of linen, stone, and sea have always felt less like a holiday postcard and more like a design language I wanted to understand.
Aegean Ink began as an attempt to translate that fascination into a collection. Rather than recreating Greece literally, I wanted to imagine how those visual memories might evolve through print, placement, and silhouette. It became less about a location and more about the feeling it evokes—warm afternoons, faded ornament, natural fibres, and objects that become more beautiful with age.
Ancient Greek ceramics, weathered plaster walls, embroidered textiles, natural linen, and the quiet colours of the Aegean coastline formed the visual foundation of the collection. Rather than replicating historical motifs, I distilled these references into a contemporary ornamental language.
Aegean Ink unfolds through a quiet palette of warm ivory, weathered toffee, and softened earth tones, echoing the colours of linen, aged clay, and Mediterranean light. From this foundation emerged an original library of hand-drawn motifs, where floral forms, scrolling borders, and geometric ornament were distilled into a contemporary print language that celebrates craftsmanship, balance, and restraint.
Each print was developed alongside the silhouette rather than applied afterwards. Placement, scale, and garment construction were considered simultaneously, allowing every motif to respond to seams, necklines, and movement.
The collection is presented through a series of AI-generated visualisations, translating technical artwork into an editorial context. Created using AI, these images explore the atmosphere and styling of the collection while remaining grounded in the original print development, placement engineering, and garment design.
