Medha Batra is a demi-couture label known for its playful, chic, and feminine design language, with a store at The Dhanmill in New Delhi. For their Festive Flora collection, part of Festive Pret 2025, the challenge was translating an existing print into a collection that felt intentional across dresses, sets, and separates, not a single motif repeated arbitrarily across different silhouettes.
What was the brief that started this collection?
Translate existing prints across dresses, sets, and separates without letting it lose its identity.
What was the hardest placement decision?
Every silhouette asked the print to behave differently. Borders, motifs, and repeats had to be reworked so they felt designed for the garment, not placed on top of it.
What are you proudest of?
That the print never feels separate from the garment. Every placement was considered alongside the construction, so the artwork feels like it belongs exactly where it is.
The collection launched as part of Medha Batra's Festive Pret 2025 line, sold both online and at their New Delhi store.
